What the data shows for HVAC companies
The sample is small, so read the share as a range. With 37 sites, a plausible range for the true share (a 95% Wilson interval) is 26% to 57%.
Separately, counting every listing in this trade rather than only tested websites: 15 of 77 Google listings (19%) show no website at all. That figure uses a different denominator (all listings) and is not part of the share above.
What customers expect from heating and cooling (HVAC) businesses
HVAC customers split into two groups: someone with no heat or no cooling who needs a visit soon, and someone planning a tune-up or a replacement quote. Both want to know they have been heard without waiting on hold.
What a fix looks like
Offer two clear doors on the homepage: a tap-to-call button for urgent problems, and a booking or request form for maintenance visits and quotes. Label which one to use for an emergency.
- Put the booking or request link on the homepage, near the top, labeled with a verb ("Book a visit", "Request an estimate").
- Keep a tap-to-call link next to it for customers who would rather phone.
- Add the same link to your Google Business Profile so people can book from Maps and Search. See how to add a booking link to Google Business Profile.
- After you change the site, run the free Book Check again to confirm a booking path is detected.
